Egyptian Society Of Hematology And Research (ESHR)
The Egyptian Society of Hematology and Research (ESHR) is the National Society of Hematology in Egypt. It was declared in 2003 as an independent body directly affiliated to the “Ministry of Social Affairs” # 5182/2003. The total number of active registered members at the beginning of 2023 is 400.
The Egyptian Society of Hematology and Research President is Professor Dr. Amal Elbeshlawy, Professor of Pediatric Hematology, she is also the founder and President of the Egyptian Thalassemia Association since 1990 and has been principal investigator and an international steering committee member of more than 30 international drug trials. She has more than 120 international publications in the domain of Hemoglobinopathy, Hemophilia and Gaucher Disease, published in high impact Journals.

The Egyptian Society of Hematology and Research (ESHR), headed by Prof. Amal Elbeshlawy, and Cairo University Hospitals have been selected by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) as the official training center in sickle cell disease.
